AN AMERICAN TOURIST

I watched the space where they once stood and felt the unequivocal emptiness of someone who knew nothing about anyone anywhere.

Spaces in between places that once saw home to thousands of faces now sees nothing but angles to gawk at and feel gratitude for having my feet on solid ground.

I'm not about to wax lyrical, but the sheer magnitude of its starkness impressed upon me a sense of calm, stillness, being and breathing.

There was nothing within those endless skies that could behold to me a reniforcement that consumption could amount to this.
